Kärlek: Hi Bella! Tell us a bit about yourself!

BN: I am a Visual Communications major at the University of Delaware, and originally from New York. Art has always been a passion of mine, and I truly enjoy solving problems creatively.

Kärlek: What was the inspiration behind your art?

BN: My inspiration for this backpack design originated from one of my favorite woodcut relief prints I composed during one of my college courses. Being on the water and soaking in a good sunset are some of my favorite activities to relax and enjoy the outdoors.

Kärlek: Love it! :-) So, which mediums did you use and what made you choose them?

BN: Using acrylic paint, one of my preferred mediums, worked extremely well on this backpack and allowed me to successfully construct my design.

Kärlek: What did you enjoy most about using a Kärlek backpack as your canvas?

BN: I really enjoyed working with a great backpack material, one which can compare to an actual artist’s canvas, it seemed to absorb my medium perfectly.

Kärlek: Do you have any tips or thoughts to share about your experience?

BN: One creative tip I believe in is to always plan ahead and sketch your design out in pencil on whatever project you are starting. It makes the process so much easier when you have a planned layout to visually refer to.
